About Us

Handyman Web Design is run by a husband-wife duo. I’m Jason and my wife’s name is Cassie. I support all our customers with web design and SEO, and Cassie handles administration and back-end “business stuff” that isn’t my cup of tea.

Originally from Arkansas and Texas, we moved to California in 2014 seeking adventure (and escaping the inevitable Walmart headquarters job in Bentonville, AR). We found our home in a small town called Auburn in 2016 and live here with our 2 well-behaved and very quiet dogs (/sarcasm).Ā  You may catch the occasional southern draw in speaking with us, and you’ll definitely experience that midwest hospitality in our exceptional customer service.

history

Handyman Web Design started in 2017, and was originally inspired by the quick success of Allen Lee of Honest Lee Handyman in Sacramento. What started as a Christmas gift for a friend, and some basic advise on a digital marketing strategy (as outlined in our Marketing Guide), quickly turned into a full-time business for Allen – of course, he is a fantastic owner who consistently does all the necessary activities to be successful. This sparked the idea of HandymanWebDesign.com – an opportunity to serve handyman and contractors across the USA (and Canada!) with effective website design and actionable marketing strategies.

Our mission is to be the premier (read: the BEST!) provider of handyman and contractor website design. We continually work towards this mission through continued education in web design, local SEO, and lead generation.

Our "why"

Here’s “why” we do what we do:

    • We love the work that we do and witnessing the joyful response of our customers when they see their new website. Many of our customers are new businesses, and for them to see their vision (or dream) of their business come alive online is very special.
    • Connecting with and getting to know great people across the country. A few of our customers have even sent small, homemade carpentry gifts that I have around the office! Also, I’ve had the pleasure of meeting-up with a customer and good friend (hey Robert!) in Texas.Ā

    • The increased freedom and flexibility to make a positive impact in our community.Ā  As a small business owner, you have more control over your time and how you spend company resources. We believe that massively impactful positive change in any community starts and ends with small businesses. Big companies with shareholders or greedy stakeholders do not have the necessary power to uplift the lives of needy neighbors in our communities (not to say there isn’t great things that big companies do). Dedicating time and profit to a few organizations in our area, that match our philanthropic calling, is a big part of why we work hard at what we do.
